Reached Hay on Wye, quite an effort. Chatted to a local farmer who knew my old dorm mate at the Royal Agricultural College, small world.
Hard going up hills, I was followed by several large hairy caterpillars, but I managed to out walk them. Several heavy showers but not too prolonged
Tomorrow is another heavy day so will start early again in order to reach Monmouth in reasonable time.
I will be joined by some Methodists for the Monmouth to Tintern leg on Tuesday.

Well done on beating the caterpillars, Alf! What a super Super you are! At journey's end you will know how many hills there are in Wales. But seriously, no mean feat. Well done!
