Whitland Abbey

No pleasure boats at all operating from the harbour due to bad weather, earliest will be Thursday. I have decided to press on and come back to Caldey at a later stage.
Quite wet to start today but a much shorter walk, picked up in the afternoon. Whitland Abbey is on private land but a most helful owner who keeps the grounds well trimmed.was happy for me to visit and take photos.
Whitland to Drefach tomorrow and the weather report looks good.

The expression, ruined abbey can really mean different things, can't it? Looking at the background landscape here one can imagine a very quiet sanctuary.
