Alf has decided to commit himself to some serious fundraising as he walks the Cistercian Way in Wales. St Francis once said to a pupil, "It is no use walking to preach if you do not preach as you walk." This being so, you are being asked to sponsor Alf as he walks the Way.
The Methodist Church has long been in partnership with Action for Children (formerly known until 2008 as National Children's Home). Action for Children has now been supporting vulnerable and neglected children for 141 years. They believe that all children and young people have unique potential and so should have the support and opportunities they need to reach it. The money the charity receives is used to support children and young people in the United Kingdom, Southern Africa, the Caribbean and Central America.
